Can something sound so cliche,
but matter so much as it be?
just another part of society,
is that all that’s in the cards for me?
All it took was just one time,
I got it from a friend of mine.
My friend was nice and wouldn’t lie,
I thought that till the day I died.
Demons got into my mind,
and evil has me trapped within,
No way out but somewhere to run,
I might has well have used a gun.
Happy for a little while,
While I had what I desired,
When nothings left,
and you’re all out,
you come to realize all your teeth fell out.
The stuff you used to work so hard for,
Was all behind a prison door.
Children you thought you had,
were murdered, adopted, or bad.
A choice you made when you were young,
but whose to blame,
your friend that was just having fun,
Or the voice inside, that was screaming run.
Methamphetamine, the undermining plot,
a blindfold on society.
Perhaps one day you will see,
That drugs can truly kill you,
and how they murdered me.
